Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLP) framework
The Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLP) framework is an Australian government initiative that offers tax incentives to encourage investment in early-stage Australian businesses. Managed by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources and the Australian Taxation Office, it aims to stimulate venture capital funding for innovative startups. The program is governed by the Venture Capital Act 2002 and the Income Tax Assessment Acts of 1936 and 1997. Partnerships must meet specific criteria, including being a limited partnership established in Australia or a country with a double tax agreement with Australia, having a general partner who is a resident of Australia or such a country, and possessing committed capital between $10 million and $200 million.
