Earthodic is a materials science company specializing in bio-based, water-resistant, and recyclable coatings for paper packaging. Their flagship product, Biobarc™, utilizes lignin from pulp and paper industry waste to replace plastic coatings in applications like coffee cups and produce containers. Headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Earthodic also has an office in Geebung, Queensland, Australia. The company secured $4 million in seed funding in October 2024 to expand its operations.
